We offer Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) knee surgery for our patients with knee issues. We also provide other specialized surgical procedures like various soft tissue surgeries, as well as orthopedics. If you have any questions about your pet’s care, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Surgical procedures are performed at Veterinary Medical Center every day of the week. An appointment is advised. The owner, or authorized agent, dropping off an animal for surgery must be at least 18 years old. It is important that no food be given after 11:00 pm the night before; please also limit water intake. Vaccines are required to be current for all patients having surgery.
We also advise pre-operative lab work to test kidney and liver functions (the main organs that metabolize anesthesia), complete blood counts, and blood glucose levels. Fluids and pain medications are administered through an IV catheter. Pain management will be used for all procedures that cause some degree of pain or discomfort.
